Stories & Spotlights

Insight School of Washington (ISWA) is excited to spotlight Adenai, an enthusiastic and hardworking 8th grader from SeaTac, Washington, who is already making her mark as a student leader. This fall, Adenai was elected President of ISWA’s Middle School Associated Student Body (ASB) Club, a role that reflects her creativity, dedication, and passion for bringing students together.

Adenai joined ISWA in 7th grade after transitioning from a traditional brick-and-mortar middle school setting. Her mother, who took on the role of dedicated learning coach, quickly recognized that switching to a tuition-free, full-time online learning model would be a better and safer fit for her daughter. One that provides a balanced learning environment yet still allows Adenai to enjoy in-person connections while offering more opportunities to grow.

From the moment she enrolled, Adenai embraced ISWA’s adaptable structure and quickly discovered that leadership, teamwork, and creative planning were some of her strongest talents.

Leading with Purpose as Middle School ASB Club President

The ISWA Middle School ASB Club is a student-led organization where members design activities, coordinate community projects, and plan events that strengthen school spirit. With 24 active members and three elected officers, the club meets every Tuesday for thirty minutes to brainstorm new ways to build connections across the school.

ASB Club Advisor, Mr. Nathan Jaber, proudly shared that Adenai’s leadership stood out immediately.

“Adenai was recently elected as our Middle School ASB Club President, and she brings so much focus and creativity to the group,” he said.

In her new role, Adenai helps guide discussions, contribute ideas, and support the planning of fun, meaningful activities from themed game nights and movie nights to clever fundraisers and community-building projects.

One of Adenai’s favorite parts of ASB Club is the creativity involved. She especially enjoys helping design graphics and visuals using Canva, and she is currently collaborating with the high school ASB team on major school events like homecoming and prom. Together, they brainstorm event themes, vote on designs, and make sure the final product reflects student voices across grade levels.

Balancing School, Sports & Leadership

Outside of her ASB Club role, Adenai stays incredibly active. She plays volleyball and softball, participates in church activities, and maintains a full academic schedule. Even with all the responsibilities on her plate, she finds joy in the rhythm of her week: school, sports, ASB meetings, and family time.

At home, Adenai loves spending time with her two younger siblings, staying active together and cheering each other on as they work hard to reach their goals.

What sets ISWA apart for Adenai is the ability to explore leadership and creativity while still keeping balance in her life. Whether she’s planning school events, designing graphics, or working hard on the court, she brings heart and dedication to everything she does. ISWA is proud to celebrate Adenai, a leader who is helping make middle school a more welcoming, connected, and exciting place for students across the school.
